Pro Comp Extreme

About

Pro Comp was founded in 1992 as an off road aftermarket suspension system manufacturer.  After that, they expanded their product line until it included shocks and other suspension related products.  In 1998, they added wheels and tires to the lineup.  Their reputation in the wheel and tire market has grown since then and today they are asked for all over the place.  Pro Comp has become a Jeep household name.

Tires

Having gotten their start in suspensions it only made sense for Pro Comp to expand into the wheels and tires industry.  I mean Pro Comp and Pro comp alone knew the best wheels and tires for their suspensions and they knew they had to make them.

Xtreme All Terrain Radials

If you are an extreme off road enthusiast, then you need your tires to be just as extreme as you are.  With that in mind, let’s take a look at the Pro Comp Xtreme All Terrain Radials.  They have features such as the directional tread that is of a very aggressive design.  It enables you to get an extreme performance both on and off road and it also allows for limited road noise.  These tires come with a warranty for 40,000 miles and it is a limited tread wear warranty.  They are made of a three ply construction which makes the sidewalls stronger and more resistant to punctures.  This tire was made for heavy duty applications.

Xtreme Mud Terrain Radials

Pro Comp claims that these are the most advanced tires on the road.  You be the judge.  Like the A/T radials, these have a three ply construction.  There are two steel belts as well as a spiral wound nylon overwrap.  This is said to provide better stability and load carrying capacity at highway speeds.  This is a mud tire and as such, it has a unique tread design.  This design is coupled with silica to enable better handling of wet, muddy or slick terrains.

Xtreme Trax UTV tire

This is a newer tire for off road and light trucks.  It can be taken on or off road, on trails or even race tracks.  It features an advanced tread design as well as a unique construction with the intent being the ultimate in control and traction.

Warranty

All Pro Comp tires come with warranties that will be fully explained to you by whichever Pro Comp dealer you purchase them from.

Pro Comp Wheels

Let me ask you something.  Do you think it would be a natural progression for a company that makes after-market off road vehicle suspension systems to branch out into wheels and tires?  Pro Comp did.  When they first started in 1992 they produced the off road suspensions that they are still known for.  When they decided to expand in 1998, the natural direction was into wheels and tires.  Since they have made that expansion, they have become a name to be reckoned with in the off road world.  We are not going to discuss tires though today.  Wheels are on the menu for this discussion.

New Styles

One of the new styles offered by Pro Comp is the Series 5038.  Its complete name is the Pro Comp Metal Mulisha 5038.  This is an alloy wheel and it is a special Deegan Edition.  That means that it is a wheel inspired by one that Brian Deegan uses in his Lucas Oil Off Road racing series vehicle.  It has a 7 spoke design and comes in a satin black finish.  It also features a simulated bead lock lip.  It comes in 2 sizes: 17” and 20”.

Alloy Wheels

Alloy wheels seem to be a big favorite with a lot of people.  Pro Comp alloys are no exception to this rule.  One of the alloy wheels offered is the Pro Comp Alloy Series 5029.  This wheel comes in satin black.  The casting process is a state of the art low pressure type which culminates in the wheel being extremely strong.  Pro Comp also combines style with value in its alloy wheels.  This particular wheel is for trucks and sport utility vehicles.  It has a durable finish which is a polished black powder coat chrome.

Steel Wheels

While some people prefer alloy wheels, there will always be those that prefer steel wheels and Pro Comp caters to both of those mindsets.  For now we will go over highlights of the Rock Crawler Series 51.  It is black steel.  Sizing and back spacing for this wheel varies according to your needs.  It has a black powder coat and is made in the United States.

Accessories

If you are a person into accessories for everything, Pro Comp has you covered there too.  They offer a wide variety of accessories for their wheels and all you have to do to find them is to check out their web site.
