Pro Comp Radial Xtreme A/T

Building suspension systems that were tough enough to last longer than anything on or off the road was the purpose for Pro Comp when they first got their start in 1992.  They didn’t waste their time chasing the latest trends – which at the time were hydraulics and sky scrapers.  Instead, they focused on making the suspension systems that would handle the off road better than anything else.  This was a sound strategy and one that paid off with the off road gearheads.  Now, people who want real off road cred and who want to save their ride quality eagerly await the newest innovations from the Pro Comp line.

Pro Comp maintains this reputation because they combine the best engineering team with state of the art technology and the best materials in the world.  The engineers of the suspension systems and the wheels and tires don’t just make the designs and prototypes of these items, they actually test them both on and off the roads themselves.

In 1998 Pro Cop began making tires and in 2002 they added wheels to the line.  Today we are going to talk about one of the tires in the Pro Comp line of products.

Radial Xtreme A/T

As you probably guessed, these are radial all terrain tires.  Now, if you had the choice of tackling off road trails or traffic, chances are that you would be off road in a heartbeat.  Unfortunately, the real world calls and most of us find that we have a need to be at work most of the time.  When you are looking for a tire that can feel great on the highway while having the ability to tear up the trails, this one by Pro Comp will see you through.

This tire has been built in such a way that it can take the stress of the highway while conquering the most demanding trails.  The Xtreme A/T radial tire has a tread pattern that is super aggressive and has been optimized to be able to have a great grip no matter what the terrain is.  There is also a sidewall traction that features an X pattern.  The traction blocks in this pattern dig into wet pavement, sand or dirt.  For those who need massive traction at high speeds, the shoulder lugs on this tire are absolutely massive.  The tire also features not one but two steel belts as well as a nylon overwrap that is spiral wound.  In addition, the sidewalls and Tri-Ply and as such are great at resisting things like popping, abrasions and punctures.

These tires come in a vas assortment of sizes so that they will fit almost any rig.  They also come with a 50,000 mile limited warranty for tread wear.
