Pro Comp Alloy Wheels Series 7069

Pro Comp was founded in the early 90s as a company that built the kinds of suspension systems that you need for hard core off road warriors.  They weren’t about building skyscrapers or even those nifty little hydraulic suspensions but were focused on those systems that were able to conquer the hottest tracks and the roughest trails.  Before too long, that strategy proved to be the best one for them to have and they quickly gained a following of gearheads.  Now, you can find true off road warriors eagerly awaiting the newest innovations coming from the Pro Comp factory.

Pro Comp keeps their hard hitting reputation that they worked so hard to earn by combining premium materials that have been real world tested with technology that is ahead of its time and the best team of engineers in the business.  These aren’t just geeky genius engineers either, they are engineers who love nothing more than performance and they can be found testing their own creations in places like the Mojave Desert and the highways of LA.

Series 7069

People tend to replace their stodgy stock rims with gorgeous custom aftermarket wheels in order to set their rigs apart from all of the rest.  However, if you are of the mind that trading them out for a completely new set of look-alike rims is going to accomplish this then you are dead wrong. If you really want to be in a league of your own, take a peek at the 7069 Series by Pro Comp.

This series of wheels made by Pro Comp are a member of the Pro Comp Xtreme line of wheels.  They start with raw chunks of aluminum alloy that is aerospace grade.  Those chunks are then cast using a casting system that is low pressure and high tech.  This gives the wheels a low weight but extreme strength and gorgeous style.  When the casting process is finished, they are then coated with a powder coat in flat black.

The 7069 Series wheels have a high offset for compatibility even with big brake kits that can be found on many off road rigs.  The wheels come in a wide variety of offsets, back spacing, bolt patterns and sizes in order to fit most brake setups, tire sizes and rigs.  The matching center cap is included with your purchase.  These wheels come with a 2 year warranty for the finish and a lifetime warranty for the structure.

Pro Comp Series 7032

Pro Comp began in the early 90s.  They were a company that focused on building suspension systems and components that would be tough enough to be able to outlast all competition be it on the road or off the road.  They didn’t waste their time either with things like chasing the trends such as funky hydraulics and building scrapers.  Instead they focused on what is really important - suspension systems and components that can standup to the toughest trails.  By using this strategy, Pro Comp quickly became a brand that was sought out by all of the serious gear heads.  Now, people who yearn to save their ride quality while gaining off road cred can accomplish this simply by getting the latest and greatest Pro Comp creations.

Pro Comp didn’t stop with suspension systems though.  They know that suspensions are only as good as the wheels and tires that they ride on so they started making the ones that would be worthy of a Pro Comp suspension.

Pro Comp Xterrain Radial

1992 is the year that Pro Comp was founded.  The primary focus of the company was to make suspensions that could handle even the toughest terrains.  In 1998, they added tires to the line of products that they made and in 2002 they started making wheels.  Now you can find Pro Comp shocks and other suspension related components on the market.

On the performance side, they are continuously coming up with new products and innovations that allow them to produce stronger yet lighter wheels.  In addition to that, they have partnered with Metal Mulisha in making wheels that are for the street yet are variations of racing wheels.  These wheels have aggressive and intricate designs.  The very first Metal Mulisha wheel was a huge success and has spawned an offshoot brand for the Pro Comp – Metal Mulisha wheels as well as other various aftermarket parts for trucks.

That is all well and good but we are here today to discuss the Xterrain Radial made by Pro Comp.

Xterrain Radial

We all know that real adventures start where the sidewalk stops.  If you happen to have bald tires though, you are going to get very far at all.  With the Xterrain Radials made by Pro Comp, you can get as deep into the off road country as you like and not have to worry about whether you will make it back or not.  These 4 x 4 tires are what you need when you want Xtreme grip for conquering streams, crawling over rocks and even just for the daily commute.

These tires have scalloped shoulder lugs and a directional tread pattern that is the high void type.  The combination of these features means that the tire absolutely grabs the ground giving you traction that is intense no matter here you are.  As aggressively styled as they are, you would think that they would be very loud on the streets, but you would be wrong.

The tires also feature lug sipes that are full length and these sipes keep you from sliding around when the ground is wet.  Additionally, the center fraction zone is of the siped two rib type and this gives you even more stability.  The sidewalls are kept safe with the Dualguard construction that is unique to Pro Comp.  This is a polyester design that is 2 ply and it has been enhanced with rubber so that you get more protection against punctures.  It will also stay flexible no matter how low the PSI is.

No matter what type of 4 x 4 you have, you can find this tire in a size to fit it and once you see this bad boy in action, you will never settle for anything else.

Pro Comp Alloy Wheels

In the 1990’s, Pro Comp was born.  Originally they focused on suspension systems.  These suspensions were durable enough to be able to last longer than the competition regardless if they were used on or off the roads.  These suspensions could handle the roughest trails and even the hardest tracks.  They were so great that fanatical gearheads were instantly hooked.  Nowadays, drivers who are of a mind to preserve their ride quality as well as their off road cred wait on pins and needles for the newest Pro Comp suspensions to roll off the production lines.

Alloy Wheels

Pro Comp doesn’t just make suspensions anymore.  Now they have added wheels and tires to the ever growing product line.  These wheels and tires are the ones that will work best in conjunction with any of the Pro Comp suspension systems.  In fact, their alloy wheels are quickly gaining in popularity.  For example, let’s take a quick look at the Series 1089 wheels.

These are a great choice for those who want to achieve a look that is not run of the mill.  Traditional steel wheels are known for their dull styles and their heavy weight.  Contrary to steel wheels, these alloy wheels give a sort of visual punch with their styling and they are nowhere near as heavy as steel wheels.  These wheels have a design that features 6 spokes.  It is classic but then it has been accented with clean grooves and a bead lock perimeter that essentially gives the entire thing an attitude that is aggressive.  If that were not enough, they have also given these wheels a mirror polish finish that will turn heads.

In the construction of these wheels, Pro Comp didn’t cut any corners.  The aluminum alloy that they use is actually a type of alloy that is a premium aerospace grade.  This alloy has been carved using a casting technique that is cutting edge and low pressure which results in an unparalleled strength.  Additionally, due to the high offset, you have all the clearance that you need for those big brakes.  If warranty is important for you, they come with a lifetime warranty on the structure.

Features at a Glance

·         Classic 6 spoke pattern

·         Bead lock perimeter gives a tough appearance

·         Highly polished mirror finish

·         Includes a matching center cap
