Pro Comp Xterrain Radial

1992 is the year that Pro Comp was founded.  The primary focus of the company was to make suspensions that could handle even the toughest terrains.  In 1998, they added tires to the line of products that they made and in 2002 they started making wheels.  Now you can find Pro Comp shocks and other suspension related components on the market.

On the performance side, they are continuously coming up with new products and innovations that allow them to produce stronger yet lighter wheels.  In addition to that, they have partnered with Metal Mulisha in making wheels that are for the street yet are variations of racing wheels.  These wheels have aggressive and intricate designs.  The very first Metal Mulisha wheel was a huge success and has spawned an offshoot brand for the Pro Comp – Metal Mulisha wheels as well as other various aftermarket parts for trucks.

That is all well and good but we are here today to discuss the Xterrain Radial made by Pro Comp.

Xterrain Radial

We all know that real adventures start where the sidewalk stops.  If you happen to have bald tires though, you are going to get very far at all.  With the Xterrain Radials made by Pro Comp, you can get as deep into the off road country as you like and not have to worry about whether you will make it back or not.  These 4 x 4 tires are what you need when you want Xtreme grip for conquering streams, crawling over rocks and even just for the daily commute.

These tires have scalloped shoulder lugs and a directional tread pattern that is the high void type.  The combination of these features means that the tire absolutely grabs the ground giving you traction that is intense no matter here you are.  As aggressively styled as they are, you would think that they would be very loud on the streets, but you would be wrong.

The tires also feature lug sipes that are full length and these sipes keep you from sliding around when the ground is wet.  Additionally, the center fraction zone is of the siped two rib type and this gives you even more stability.  The sidewalls are kept safe with the Dualguard construction that is unique to Pro Comp.  This is a polyester design that is 2 ply and it has been enhanced with rubber so that you get more protection against punctures.  It will also stay flexible no matter how low the PSI is.

No matter what type of 4 x 4 you have, you can find this tire in a size to fit it and once you see this bad boy in action, you will never settle for anything else.
