Jeep Wrangler Off Road Wheels

In order to understand how great the off road wheels made by Pro Comp are for the Jeep Wrangler, you first need to understand who Pro Comp is and what makes them so knowledgeable in this area.

It all began back in 1992 when Pro Comp got their start by building components for the suspension that were so tough that they were able to outlast anything that was made by the competition.  From the beginning they were not about those funky hydraulics and making skyscrapers but instead they were focused on making suspension systems that were able to handle the hottest tracks and the toughest trails.  It didn’t take long for them to reap the rewards of that way of thinking and now their suspensions and suspension components are sought out all over the world by avid off road enthusiasts.

In 2001 Pro Comp decided to start making wheels.  They had branched out to tires in 1998 so wheels were the next logical step.  Pro Comp is aware that any suspension system relies on the wheels and tires.  Since they are experts in the field of suspensions and suspension components, there is no company better able to make the wheels and tires that are designed to be strong enough to deserve the Pro Comp suspensions.

One of the reasons that the suspension systems and components as well as the wheels and tires that are made by Pro Comp are so highly regarded is that they are the ideal fusion of cutting edge technology and materials that have been tested in the real world.  All of this is created by the most well regarded team of engineers is the industry.  The engineers at Pro Comp are not your typical boring, stuffed shirt Ivy League bunch.  They are all geniuses who have a passion for performance.  They don’t just make these components, wheels and tires in the lab and then test them right there, they also take them out themselves and test them in real world conditions such as the Mojave and more punishing places.

The wheels that Pro Comp makes for the Jeep Wrangler are made from either steel or from a cast aluminum alloy, depending on which ones you choose.  Their wheels are tough and quite suited for the rigors of the off road yet they are more affordable than your typical alloy wheels.

Pro Comp is continuously innovating lighter wheels that are stronger.  They have also partnered with Metal Mulisha to make wheels that are a street version of some of the professional racing wheels.  These wheels have designs that are aggressively intricate.

Now that you know how and why Pro Comp got into making wheels, you should also know that any of the wheels that are made by Pro Comp are great on Jeep Wranglers.
